athleticBaby's Blue Ribbon Panel of Advisors includes experts from a variety of areas. The advisory panel works with athleticBaby's creative team in evaluating products and strategies, and making suggestions that are in line with national trends, research and guidelines for children's health.

Sandra Perlmutter

Sandra Perlmutter was appointed Executive Director of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports (PCPFS) in 1993 and was the first woman to be named to that position. While serving, she managed a school-based fitness program reaching more than two million children each year; launched a Youth Fitness Campaign through the Advertising Council; and, collaborated in the publication and release of the "first ever" Surgeon General's Report on Physical Activity and Health. Ms. Perlmutter served as Council spokesperson promoting physical fitness and sports opportunities for all Americans. In 2002, Ms. Perlmutter was elected Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner for the District of Columbia's historic Sheridan Kalorama neighborhood was re-elected for a second term in 2004. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Hebrew Home of Greater Washington. Ms. Perlmutter was honored by WJLA ABC 7 "Tribute to Working Women", for her outstanding contribution to the community in working to prevent gun violence. She currently serves as the Administrative Director for the Center for Mental Health Outreach in the Department of Psychiatry at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C.

Don Casey

Don Casey is the former head coach for the New Jersey Nets basketball team. He has served as head coach for the Los Angeles Clippers and as assistant coach for the Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics. Mr. Casey also served as head coach for basketball at Temple University. Mr. Casey was appointed Vice Chairman for the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports (PCPFS) and was a member of the official U.S. delegation to the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. He is currently the spokesman for the Coaches Against Gun Violence campaign, is chairman of his local chapter of the ALS Foundation (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and is the Senior Vice President of the NBA Coaches Association. Mr. Casey actively participates in coaching clinics around the world, promoting and fostering the game of basketball. Mr. Casey resides with his family near San Diego, California.

Jeff Olson, R.L.T.

Jeff Olson is a two-time Olympian, three-time national champion and Pan-American gold medalist and a former member of the U.S. Ski Team. He is Co-Founder and President of Well Nourished Worldwide, and founder of the Metro Denver Health & Wellness Commission. He is on the board of directors of the Heuga Center for M.S. and the Denver Sports Commission and is a strategic advisor to TriDubai, America On the Move and the Human Interest Group. Jeff is an Executive Member of the Denver Sports Commission's/International Exploratory Committee whose focus is to bring the Olympic Winter Games to Denver and is also Committee Chair of a Denver community effort to create (in partnership with the United States Olympic Committee) a "Performance Health/Medical Fitness Center" for both elite athletes and patients dealing with compromised physiology. Jeff is a featured speaker in the physician, health care, athletic, education, faith, business and parent communities. He is currently writing his first book "Performance Needs Protection: The Blind Spot in Sport's Nutrition". Jeff and his wife Toni have three girls and live in Denver, Colorado.

Kelli Calabrese, MS, CSCS

Kelli Calabrese is a 20 year fitness industry leader, exercise physiologist, nutrition specialist and lifestyle consultant. She is the 2004 Personal Trainer of the Year and has attained 24 fitness, nutrition and wellness certifications. Kelli owned and operated a chain of 4 fitness centers in New Jersey and managed corporate fitness accounts for Calvin Klein Cosmetics, Beneficial Insurance, Nabisco and BASF. Kelli was the lead fitness expert for eDiets and eFitness for 3 years. She founded the Xercise Institute and prepared over 3,000 candidates to become certified fitness professionals. Kelli is a Nautilus Sponsored Athlete, an Expert Fellow for the National Board of Fitness Examiners, on the Advisory Board for Perdue University's Personal Training Degree and is an advisor for the Personal Training Business Alliance. Kelli is the editor of Personal Fitness Professional Magazine and Wellness and Fitness Entrepreneur Magazine. Kelli is also a mom of two pre-schoolers and it is her personal mission to combat obesity and provide adults and parents with the tools to make health, fitness and wellness a permanent part of their lives.
